ARTICLE IV. Membership

SECTION 1. Voting Members

A. Members shall be prelaw advisors in colleges and universities.

B. There shall be two categories of membership: institutional and individual.

  1. Institutional membership: when an institution joins, all advisors at that institution shall receive all PCAPLA publications and mailings but only the institutionally designated advisor shall be eligible to vote for that institution.
  2. Individual membership: an individual member shall receive all PCAPLA publications and mailing and shall be eligible to vote, notwithstanding the fact that the individual member's institution may also be a member. Individual members will also receive a reduced registration fee for the annual conference.

C. Each member shall have one vote for purposes of electing officers, amending the by-laws, and approving the budget.

SECTION 2. Associate Members.

A. Admission officers of law schools.

B. Representatives of the Law School Admissions Council, the Law School Admissions Services and the America Bar Association may become associate members.

C. Associate members shall have no vote in the affairs of the Association.
