ARTICLE VIII. Elections SECTION 1. Appointment of the Nominating Committee A nominating committee shall be appointed every third year by the President who shall select the chair from the Executive Council. The chair, in turn, shall appoint to the committee at least two persons who are not members of the Executive Council. SECTION 2. Nominations The Nominating Committee shall prepare for the approval of the Executive Council a slate of officers and the associate member-at-large to fill terms which are expiring. It shall secure the consent of those nominated and shall see that the complete slate of nominees is mailed to all voting members of the Association at least thirty days in advance of the annual meeting. SECTION 3. Elections Nominations shall be presented at every third annual meeting. Voting shall be by written ballot sent to the principle contact at each member institution after each annual meeting. SECTION 4. Interim Executive Committee The body which has been acting as the organization shall continue to act as the Executive Council under these by-laws until the annual meeting.
